What Water Violet actually treats
Water Violet is Bach's remedy for the dignified loner. The capable one. The quiet, self-sufficient person who can do it all themselves and therefore does — and ends up alone. Bach described the Water Violet type as gentle, peaceful, often spiritually inclined, but isolated by the very strength that makes them admirable. The remedy does not turn them into extroverts; it softens the wall that prevents intimacy.
The state it meets
Proud self-sufficiency that has become isolation. Capable of everything, accepts help with nothing. People come to them; they go to no one. Aloof not from coldness but from a quiet refusal to need.
The shift it brings
The capacity to need without shame. Strength that includes receiving as well as giving. The wall comes down enough for intimacy without losing the integrity of the self.

Water Violet in love is the partner who is always the helper, never the helped — and who is therefore loved at arm's length. The work is to let yourself be cared for, which feels more vulnerable than caring for others.

Water Violet in work is the leader who carries everyone's weight and asks nothing in return — and who is therefore lonely in the seat. The remedy supports the move from "indispensable" to "interdependent."
