The three families. The nine tones cluster naturally. Foundation (174, 285) is the body's groundwork — pain relief and tissue repair. Activation (396, 417, 528) is the personal-power band — release, change, love. Expansion (639, 741, 852, 963) is the upward channel — connection, expression, awakening, unity. Six of the nine tones map one-to-one onto the chakras, which makes the Solfeggio framework the cleanest sound-to-body map there is.

Foundation tones · the body's groundwork

The lowest of the nine. A deep, almost sub-bass tone associated with relieving pain and giving the nervous system the message that it is safe to settle.

A low frequency associated with cellular repair and tissue regeneration. Played in clinics, sound baths, and recovery rooms — the message it carries is *re-form*.

Activation tones · the personal-power frequencies

The frequency of releasing fear and guilt. The first of the six classical Solfeggio tones — the one mediaeval monks chanted to ask for the courage to face their own shadow.

The frequency of facilitating change and undoing situations. The second classical Solfeggio tone — the one for the moments when the old pattern has to break before the new can begin.

Expansion tones · the upward channel
