Tiferet (תפארת, 'Beauty' or 'Harmony') is the sixth sefirah, the center of the Tree, and the radiant heart through which every other sefirah passes. Tiferet is the meeting-place of Chesed (mercy) and Geburah (severity) — the balanced point where the open hand and the discerning sword become a single integrated movement. Tiferet is also called *Rachamim* ('Compassion') because true compassion is precisely this balance: love that knows when to give and when to withhold. In the patriarchal correspondence of the Zohar, Tiferet is *Jacob* — the patriarch who wrestled with the angel (Genesis 32) and was renamed *Israel* ('one who has struggled with God'), the integrator of the heritage of Abraham (Chesed) and Isaac (Geburah). Tiferet's divine name is YHVH (יהוה), the unspeakable Tetragrammaton, because Tiferet is the central revelation of the divine in form — the place where the infinite becomes most accessible to the human heart. Lurianic Kabbalah places Tiferet at the *chest* of *Zeir Anpin* (the 'small face' of God descending into form), making it the heart-center through which all spiritual influence reaches the world. In the Christian-mystical reading (Christian Kabbalah of the Renaissance), Tiferet is the *Christ-position* — the redeeming heart that holds all opposites together; in the Jewish-mystical reading, Tiferet is the *Tzaddik*, the righteous one through whom divine flow descends. Three practices: (1) Daily contemplation on the question *what would the integrated yes-and-no look like here* — apply it to every relationship, every project, every decision where you are tempted to collapse into one side or the other. (2) Heart-coherence practice: ten minutes morning and evening of slow breath, attention at the center of the chest, holding the felt-sense of one person you love and one person you are at odds with — at the same time. (3) Identify the polarity in your life that is asking to be integrated (work and rest, give and receive, speak and listen, push and yield) and walk it as a discipline for thirty days, deliberately taking the side you usually neglect.

Reversed: tiferet-as-people-pleasing — false harmony that papers over the actual tensions; the integration is performed rather than earned.
The leader who holds the room together — the colleague through whom every conflict somehow finds its way to balance. Tiferet-work is often invisible because it operates by *integration*, not by spectacle; the team that has a tiferet-person in it simply functions better and nobody can quite name why.
