The Hexagram
Hexagram 61, *Zhōng Fú*, is one of the most-cherished hexagrams in the book — the image of wind moving over the lake, the breath touching the still water, the truth at the centre. The classical name is *Inner Truth*. The hexagram counsels: *pigs and fishes; good fortune; it furthers one to cross the great water; perseverance furthers*. The lesson: when sincerity is at the centre, it touches even the wild and the silent — the pigs (the hardest to influence) and the fishes (the most distant). The hexagram is the celebration of *truth lived from the centre*; nothing is beyond its reach.
